The GHUD Preview Scene lets you inspect generated GHUD tab data inside Unity without opening each generated ScriptableObject individually. Itβs essentially another way to view the Google Sheets data that GHUD has imported into Unity.
Open it in Unity from:
Tools > GHUD > Preview Scene
Another way to open the scene is by double-clicking it in Unityβs Project window.
Clicking ~ Tab Status ~ in the GHUD window highlights GHUD_Preview.unity, allowing for quick navigation.
The Preview Scene reads the generated DB_Tab ScriptableObject data stored in:
Assets/GHUDatabase/Assets/
Enter Play Mode, then choose a tab from the Tab List or the tab bar, and click it to view the tab contents.
The Preview Scene displays the tabβs column names, generated type names, and current row values.Β
Bool values are displayed as β for true and x for false.Β
Values that cannot be parsed as their expected type given red text.
Click on the tabs at the bottom to switch which one you are viewing.
Note that the cell values cannot be edited here.
This scene is just meant to be a quick reference for the data imported from Google Sheets.
If the displayed data is out of date, updated it with GHUD:
Open Tools > GHUD > Window.
Use Get Cell Data when only existing cell values changed. Use Get All Data after changing tabs, rows, columns, or enums.Β
Then return to the Preview Scene and enter Play Mode again.
The Preview Scene can be navigated with the visible UI buttons or with keyboard and mouse shortcuts.
This scene supports spreadsheet-style mouse and keyboard navigation.
You can click on the '<' arrows in the corners to scroll on the current tab, and scroll the tab list on the bottom.
