Kobolds (2020)

Kobolds is a 4-player fantasy themed top-down 2D action game with RPG elements. The players chose from among 6 classes to cooperatively fight their way through each stage and defeat the boss waiting for them at the end. The game alternates between a single shared screen and multiple split screens based on the players' locations. The coins earned throughout the levels allow the players to buy class-specific abilities as well as disposable items, emulating an exp system.

VCSV (2020)

A tool that generates 3D maps using CSV files. It uses preset prefabs for each number, and those prefabs can be adjusted as a palette for unlimited creation possibilities. by default the prefab palette uses a system in which the 1's place determines the block type, while the 10's place determines the elevation. Using Excel or Google Sheets, you can set up conditional formatting to help visualize the map as you create the CSV file.

Nion's Mods Calc (2020)

This tool was built to help players and GMs keep track of various modifiers and stats for their D&D 3.5 characters. Unlike the more recent iterations of D&D, 3.5e has players track multiple modifiers for their characters as they play, so it's handy to have a tool keep track of all your active effects. It tracks offensive and defensive modifiers, health, turns, notes, and coins. The tool has dice sets for checks and damage rolls. There's also a section for GMs to roll hidden checks for their whole party simultaneously which can be very helpful for party-wide perception-type rolls such as spot and sense motive checks. You can download the Android APK here.

C&C Maps (2019)

This software was a fresh start on the Caves & Creatures tool Shane developed in 2018. He used it to run a D&D campaign with four of his friends. This improved tool allowed for 4-player simultaneous play using controllers + 1 GM control using the keyboard, run time switching between 2D and 3D modes, and run time switching between single-screen and split-screen gameplay. It also had both turn based and real-time sections. Players were able to roll all dice within the software, and even create various transparent geometric shapes for area of effect spells. This software was never intended to be distributed, so it contains copyrighted assets from various sources.

Gin-Jin Ground (2018-2019)

This game is inspired by the arcade game, Gain Ground. It's a top-down shooter that allows the player to collect new characters to play by finding hostages in the stages and brining them to the exit. The simple graphics make the game easy to pick up and understand, while the mechanics and level design keep the game fresh and addicting. There's also 2-Player cooperative play as well as a 2-Player Battle Mode.

Caves & Creatures (2018)

Caves & Creatures was Shane's first attempt at running a Dungeons & Dragons campaign on the TV using Unity. This software had full 3D environments and allowed the players to pass the controller around for their turns, as the shoulder buttons would allow them to switch control to their character.

Space Ride (2017)

This was Shane's first attempt at a collaborative Unity effort. The idea here was to have players collect resources across multiple planets and store them in their spaceships. On these planets monsters, weapons, and various pickups would be scattered about and competing players would have a limited time to gather as many power-ups as they could. The players would then use their powered up characters to compete in a mini-game, similar to Kirby Air Ride's City Trial mode.

The Epic of Adaline (2017)

Shane's first dive into Unity. A simple testing of Unity's 3D physics and C#. The player could navigate a 3D environment with a third-person camera, collect and attack with a sword, and activate cannons. This experiment was a foundational step in Shane's growth as a Unity Developer.
